Photo-Forward Itinerary Creation

I create photo-forward itineraries and destination content designed to help visitors imagine themselves in a place before they ever arrive.

These itineraries lead with strong, authentic visuals and are supported by thoughtful, place-specific recommendations. The focus is on pairing inspiring photography with clear ideas, highlights, routes, and local insightcontent that helps people plan a real, memorable experience.

I travel Maine extensively, both for work and for fun, and have spent my life exploring the state’s small towns, back roads, coastal communities, and inland regions. I’m deeply passionate about Maine, the people who live here, and the off-the-beaten-path stories and locations that don’t always make it into traditional travel coverage. The recommendations included in these itineraries are shaped by that lived experience, along with conversations and relationships built with locals across the state.

This work is created for destination marketing organizations, tourism offices, chambers of commerce, regional partners, hotels, and short-term rental properties looking for high-quality, reusable content across web, social, editorial, and partner channels.

What Makes These Itineraries Different

Photography leads the story.
Imagery sets the tone and draws people in, while the supporting content provides direction, ideas, and context.

Designed around real-world exploration.
Itineraries are structured to reflect how someone would naturally experience a destination, including specific drives, stops, and groupings of places that make sense geographically and logistically.

Focused on highlights and local insight.
These itineraries emphasize carefully chosen highlights, hidden gems, practical tips, and specific recommendations drawn from lived experience and local knowledge. The result is content that feels authentic, grounded, and distinctly Mainer-driven.

Designed for flexibility.
Content is organized so individual sections, images, and recommendations can stand alone for social media, partner sharing, media requests, or future campaigns.

Accessible and practical.
Layouts prioritize clarity, ADA-friendly structure, and clickable links so the content works well for visitors and marketing teams alike.

What These Projects Typically Include

While every project is customized, itinerary work typically includes:

  • Custom, multi-page itineraries designed for digital use or print

  • Photo-forward layouts paired with detailed local recommendations and highlights

  • A full library of professionally edited images created specifically for the project and delivered for client use

  • Content structured for use across websites, social platforms, visitor guides, and earned media

Specific deliverables, timelines, and formats are outlined per project.

Optional Add-Ons

Additional services may be added to itinerary projects as needed, including:

  • Custom social media reels or static posts with captions

  • Drone photography and video, where permitted

  • Social media takeovers

  • Consultations with participating small business owners on working with influencers and photographers

Add-ons are scoped and quoted separately from the core itinerary project.

Values That Guide This Work

Inclusivity
These itineraries are created as an open invitation to all visitors, regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, body size, economic status, or ability. Accessibility, clarity, and representation are considered throughout the creative process.

Deepened Partnerships
Projects are built in collaboration with locally owned small businesses, guides, and organizations, with the goal of supporting visibility and economic growth across each region.

Community Development
By highlighting a wide range of experiences, towns, and lesser-known locations, this work aims to showcase the depth of Maine’s communities and encourage thoughtful exploration beyond the most familiar stops.

Sustainability
Care is taken to highlight experiences that respect Maine’s natural resources and smaller communities, encouraging visitors to engage thoughtfully and responsibly with the places they visit.

Authentic Curation
Each itinerary is carefully curated and shaped by lived experience. This work is developed by a born-and-raised Mainer who spends significant time traveling the state, building relationships, and learning directly from the people who live and work here.

How This Content Is Used

These itineraries are designed as long-term assets and are often used as:

  • Feature content on destination websites

  • Seasonal or campaign-based trip planning guides

  • Social media storytelling and takeovers

  • Assets for editorial and earned media requests

  • Content libraries shared with participating businesses, chambers, or municipal partners

The focus is on creating content that remains useful well beyond a single campaign or launch.

A Guided, Collaborative Process

I lead creative direction, photography, layout, and content development, while working closely with partners on goals, priorities, and logistics. Collaboration happens early and intentionally, allowing the final work to stay cohesive, efficient, and visually consistent.

Is This a Good Fit?

This service tends to work well for partners who value strong visuals, local perspective, and specific, actionable recommendations over generic travel content.
If you are looking for destination storytelling that feels grounded, authentic, and built for long-term use, I would love to talk through what a project could look like!
